I don't usually carry my iPod with me, but happened to have it in my purse last night when I signed out the 2008 Ford Focus Coupe for the drive home.
Finally, I thought, a chance to check out the SYNC system while alone in the car.
Maybe it's the Focus' noisy cabin at speed, or perhaps it's my nasally Midwestern accent, I don't know, but no matter how many different "Play Artist" and "Play Track" commands I confidently issued, SYNC always provided Lou Bega's Mambo No. 5 as either my first or only option.
I've never been that fond of the song to begin with, but today I hit the delete button on both Lou Bega and SYNC.

I like that song. Maybe not all the way home though.

Lol! Probably the Focus has a good time with the X5 & then had a fling with the 135 & GT-R. (All the while making the homely Grand Caravan shed some tears)

That's weird, just a couple of days ago someone else said they loved it.

Wow. I saw that album cover and all of a sudden I was back in Grade 8. Good times, but the song did get annoying after the first 400 times.

That's not nasal, young lady. That's the proud Inland North Dialect. This standard Midwest non-accent is the basis for General American speech -- one that has no strong regional sounds. It's newscaster style.
Oh wait, you're from Willis, MI? Yeah, you're right, that's nasally.
Carry on.

100% sure you didn't tag your music. I've known a lot of people who have had problems with sync because of it. It was hilarious I was at a sync demo and the person couldn't get her songs to play. Mine played just fine.

Wow. That song brings back memories of Jr. High school that I really didn't want to relive....including dancing to this song during gym class in gym uniforms. Yikes!

That song could be very nostalgic to the Focus. Afterall, they both were introduced to the public back in 1999. No wonder it kept wanting to play it for memory's sake

Geez, people remembering this song in junior high... Makes me feel old for remembering it in college.

i remember them playing this song in 5th grade at the fall ball... wow.
sync can be a little weird. like to get the sync lady to play artist rihanna, i have to pronounce it rye-hanna. no big deal, but then the sync lady says "playing artist rihanna" with its correct pronunciation. it gets really ugly in the car when she starts trying to pronounce the artists of my german techno :S

Anyone else humming the Top Gear theme song after glancing at the title or is it just me?

Hi Kelly,
Wow! You sure look different than what I expected!
Thanks for sharing, but are you sure it's a good idea to post your picture on the internet?
I guess that's just too bold a move for my taste.
