2008 Audi R8: Choosing the Right Car for the Job

accord-750.jpg

The photo above was taken on the 405 freeway yesterday from the tight confines of the Audi R8. It was a stark reminder of how important it is to choose the appropriate vehicle for the job.

You see, there are weekends when the R8 is available and I choose not to swipe the keys. Sounds unconscionable I know, but when I remember that the R8 has the cargo capacity of a carry-on bag, I often go with something a little larger to assure plenty of room for weekend errands.

Obviously, the gentleman above had no such options, so he made do with what he had. Then again, he did have a choice in televisions, and something tells me that sucker isn't a plasma.

He was probably selling his old tube TV. Although these days, you'd probably have to pay someone to take it.

A cathode ray tube that big would probably have to be realigned after being bounced around in the back like this one is.

"the R8 has the cargo capacity of a carry-on bag"

Does the V10 version have more or less luggage space?

"Does the V10 version have more or less luggage space?"

Wouldn't matter. The engine is in the back. The trunk/frunk/"luggage space" is in the front.

Looks like a plug for a new Accord wagon. (Wait, someone already wrote about that!)

Hmm i did manage to fit a 32 inch in the backseat of my 98 grand prix, perhaps the above one was bigger or different design?

That looks like a heavy ass TV! And it's strapped to the trunk lid arms!!! One good bump and it's TV skating down the highway on the trunk lid. That would be hilarious!
