Mitsu Lancer Evo X GSR: Now That's More Like It

08.mitsubishi.evox.gsr.ip.500.jpg

Say what you will about its fart-can exhaust note, its tail-gater-obscuring wing, and burping blow-off valve, I for one love this car just the way it is. It reminds me of the very first RHD Evo 6.5 I drove many years ago. "They really sell this car in Europe and Japan? I want one so badly, but I'm not sure I could trust myself with all this grip and power."

Years have passed and as accomplished and refined as the current batch of Evos has become, they've undoubtedly lost the raw, sometimes scary, I can't believe they're allowed to sell this to the public nature that made them so desirable initially.

With these mods, this GSR is more Evo than our Evo MR. Don't change a thing!

Ok then Chris, let me ask you one question...

If you can only have one car and it'll be your daily driver would you get the Evo MR?

+1, Chris.

The modded GSR is indeed more "Evo" than Mitsu's current factory offerings.

Those of you who know me can already answer luiswei's question: If I could have one car for a daily driver it'd be a Porsche 911 GT3.

More realistically, or perhaps more to his point, I would still choose the modded GSR over the MR. It simply has bigger, well, you know.

Actually in my previous post I meant Evo GSR. Ok I see your point and if I could have one car for a daily driver it'd be a 599 GTB Fiorano so um... yeah.

I guess what I am trying to ask is: Out of all the cars (not just Evos) and within your financial capability would you get the Evo GSR as your only car and DD?

Unfortunately, my wife and 4-year old figure into this, so sadly, the Evo GSR wouldn't work. Tell you what, though. After driving our new Audi A4 Avant, that'd work well as a daily driver, weekend shuttle, and occasional Lowe's runner.

I'm curious which brand BOV you have on it. From the picture in the introduction it looks like a TIAL to me.
