2009 Ford Flex: Flexin' Its IKEA Muscle

flex.couch.555.jpg Somehow a 59-inch-long sleeper sofa needs to fit into the back of our long-term Ford Flex.

flex.cargo.555.jpg Voila!

The Flex's 83 cubic feet of cargo space easily swallows the small sofa, its "hidden" storage box, and the packaged mattress and slipcover.

I think this vehicle is the only one in the fleet that I like more and more the more I hear about it.

Impressive ..... until you compare it to even an old short wheelbase Caravan.... or any minivan.

But it does not look like a Caravan...or any other minivan. And that is why it is so much cooler!

Hey, if it can hold a casket back there, a couch won't be a problem.

Agreed. This vehicle is a pleasant surprise. I've never really found a Ford product that interested me, but I like hearing about this one and I like seeing them on the road.
