2009 Ford Flex: Highway Wind And Road Noise

ford_flex_highway.JPG

One notable attribute about our long-term 2009 Ford Flex: road noise is impressively quelled. Even on concrete, only a minimal amount of tire noise makes it into the cabin. (Our car is shod with Hancook Optimo H725 tires.) There's more wind noise than road noise, but even so the Flex remains library quiet during 75-mph highway drives. Too bad Flex owners with squabbling children in back probably won't notice.

Compared to the Enclave, X5, Veracruz, CX-9 and Caravan, which one has the quietest interior at highway speed?

And of your current fleet of long termers, which one is the quietest and loudest on the highway?

Why the @#$@#$ is there a big honkin' Ford emblem on the nav screen at speed? Please tell me that can be turned off.

Wasabi - Can't be definitive without driving them all back to back, but I'd say the Flex and Enclave are on top.

Roar - Yes, you can replace it with a map display.

Good to hear, Brent, b/c that logo just reeks of insecurity (on Ford's part, that is).
