I'm currently in the middle of a move (fun!) so was semi-pleased when my choices for a car for the night were between our 2008 Buick Enclave, the Rondooo and the Smart. I wish we still had our trucks. Why O why did they have to go away at the same time? Anyway, the Enclave didn't let me down.Â
I was only going to fill up the SUV as much as I could since I was doing this by myself and I think the Buick, and I, did pretty well. Look at all those boxes in there. I even folded down the second-row seats and moved them out of the way so that I could put more boxes on the floor.
They were all very easy to unload, too. Not too high up.
And there was even a place in the center console for me to store the bottle of bubbly that I was bringing over to celebrate with my new housemates.

Moving is a pain, I feel for you. I moved last month...my MINI Cooper wasn't much of a help.

Oh my, that must have taken MANY trips. Yea, moving sure ain't fun. Especially when by yourself.

You still have the Tundra, no?

Nope. No Tundra. Sadly.

Nice touch with the bottle of bubbly.
This is what the Enclave is all about. Hauling people, cargo or both in style. Smoothly swallowing up bumps along the way to protect your precious cargo or your rear end, this car delivers on so many levels.
There is not another car on the market that offers this level of luxury with this amount of space.
I'm going to miss the Enclave posts.

Maybe a New Dodge Ram? Too bad ford cancelled the F-100 as that would be great too.

Odyssey? Sienna?

Moving is a refreshing reminder on the futility of being overly materialistic :-)

Ya. Our belongings should consist of a club and a loincloth. Then it would all fit in a MINI Cooper. We would also feel very manly. Me want food! Me club pigeon!

Odyssey? Sienna? Fine minivans, to be sure, but luxury is not their calling card.

In the Odyssey, yes it is. The Enclave isn't oozing with luxury. Especially when shopping for a lower end one.

Sorry, but if someone hands me $41K and tells me I can buy either a FWD Enclave CXL or an Odyssey Touring, the $41K is going to the Buick dealer.
Even with the lower end models, the Enclave CX provides more "perceived" luxury than the Odyssey.

The Odyssey has a flinty ride and plenty of road noise- hardly attributes of a luxurious vehicle. I'll take the Enclave, thanks. Way more power, style and class with the same fuel economy.

Hats off to you, Ms Pardilla. I've had to move way too much in my life, but thankfully never alone. Although there were two times when it was just me and a petite woman (and not the same one, lol).
I think if I'd ever had something like an Enclave, then moving would've been *slightly* more enjoyable.

Flinty? People keep using words in ways that are new to me. I should have paid more attention in school.

The perceived luxury in the Enclave? That absolutely hideous and disgusting GM brick radio that's in COBALTS. Among other things, like the nasty cloth seats. slap a bunch of wood in the Acadia, stamp a big chrome grille and buick badge up front and it's suddenly approaching luxury at Lexus levels.
