When the tire shop said it would have to order a tire for our Audi R8 after last weekends blowout, I knew it wasnt going to be cheap. Sure enough, when the tire arrived a couple days later the final tally after mounting and balancing was $450. No one ever said living with a supermodel was cheap.

Ouch. Coulda been worse though with wheel and/or body damage.
Speaking of the body, I much prefer the R8 in a monotone paint job without the bare aluminum thing.

I quite like this one, but I'd take either if you tossed me the keys.

That's what I thought, but my six months with Alessandra Ambrosio has been well worth it.

Who said money doesn't grow on trees? Just look at the rubber trees. The only bad thing is you have to pay for it.

Was this due to OE price gouging or just odd sizing? OE tires on a TSX are over $200, but you can get a better tire in the same size for $100 (OE is expensive and CRAPPY!).

Given the price of the car the typical R8 owner wouldnt see $450 as a big deal.

I wish I could say I can feel your pain, but I owned a Chrysler Crossfire for awhile. She had Z rated 18s in the front and 19s in the back. The cheapest replacement I could find for one of the 19s when I hit a big nail was 390 bucks a piece. And that was from a discount website.
