2007 Honda Fit: My Photo Sherpa

The Fit doesn't always get the respect it deserves. We might as well call it Rodney.

Well Rodney, my good friend, If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be able to do my job. With your seats folded flat I'm able to haul my gear around easily...
And because you have a low cargo lift level, I'm able to take some nice car to car shots.

So, thanks pal. Even if others roll their eyes at the prospect of driving you, I know you're a good friend to me.

Hi Scott.
I really like the pictures you take, and I am interested in photography as well.
Is there any way I could talk to you about your job, and what you do ?
Because if I ever get the chance to come to California, I would love to meet you guys.

Since you mentioned low cargo lift level, does that mean the car-to-car shot was taken with the hatch propped open, lying on the floor, and shot from Fit bumper height?

i just read a story that said that fits owners are 80% women...

just crossed it off the list. No girly car for me.

opfreak,

Just think of all the chicks you could meet because you drove a Fit though? They'd want to talk to you about your car...Yeah I know its flimsy. My wife makes fun of me when we are driving in my Fit and we see another Fit invariably driven by a lady.

Oh well. The Fit is awesome for hauling stuff in a small package. We went on a trip last weekend to throw a wedding shower for my wife's friend. And with the seat bottoms folded up we had a great place for our 80 pound dog. In the back we still had plenty of room for our luggage and all of the party stuff we had to bring.

We got 37.3 miles per gallon for the entire trip, which included a lot of errand running around town once we got there. Average speed about 65 on the cruise down there and back up here. Already have 34K miles on the fit and its a year and a half old. It still runs great.

opfreak,

Have some confidence, man! If you really cared what complete strangers thought of your vehicle, you wouldn't be driving an old Sunfire - which is also considered a "girly" car.

The Fit drivers I've met have been mostly 50/50... And who cares if it's a "girly" car anyways? Shouldn't that kind of stigma be left behind in high school?

Sometimes, these forums ARE high school.

i disagree about the demographics based on my observations - i'd say it's a pretty even split. i drive mostly between albany and the metro NYC area, and I see on average 4-5 Fits a day. Is that alot? I feel like it is, or maybe I just notice them all.

How many Fits do you see?
