I know what & whom you meant. Remember this, this is the hubris which got Bush & Cheney co. into the Iraq mess. Generalizing a whole community of people ( 1.3 Billion) of humans as you have done is nothing but a self feeding monster that is hatred. Travel around the worls a bit; it opens your mind & heart. Yes, a group of them are bad, but they all aren't just as every community has bad elements.

I really hafta agree with you, Doug about the people in Prius'. Driving a Prius does not make them special or high n' mighty! I really do hate 'em and I see at least, twice a day at work (I work for a toyota dealership detail center) and I can't stand em!!!

(Putting a BMW X5 through track testing? It just broke my heart when that beauty of a machine had to endure on the tracks because of you guys)
 
I really wish we would see more diesels in US. I'm so envious of Europens where they get diesel options on almost all cars. Yes, Prius is not an answer, I want a 'regular' car without the price premium of a hybrid.
 
I like what the Germans are doing with Diesel tech for cars. I would have bought a Diesel if it was reasonable, but modern Diesel cars are expensive (MB). When a Camry, Accord, Sonata etc. bring their diesels here, it would be awesome.

If more people drove cleaner cars like Priuses and perhaps your child didn't get asthma when he/she otherwise would have, will you all still hate Prius drivers?
 
My mom drives a Prius and I can assure you she is one of the nicest people in the world.

Anyhow, did you know that children in "developing" countries(as opposed to developed countries like Canada, US, rest of G8/G7 countries etc.) who typically live in more industrius/manufacturing heavy environment and therefore experience slightly dirtier environment(air and water) have less chance of developing asthma, various allergies and mental illness?(notice i said "illness" not "disability")

Ugly dealer license plate frames!!!!
The one on this Jetta looks especially cheezy, like it's from a buy here-pay here used car lot. A 1-800 number, come on? What does Timmons sell? Back hoes? Why isn't there a VW crest on the frame?
Why do dealers think they have the right to plaster the backsides of a new car with a billion different kinds of plate frames, stickers, and other assorted gorp on our cars??
 
I got a free oil change from my dealer after taking off the license plate frame off several times saying that I didn't want to advertise for free. For now, I proudly wear my Champion Chevrolet Howell, Michigan plate frame now, at least until my next oil change...

Priuses don't scoff people, Prius drivers scoff people.
 
On a side note, I'm happy there are so many Prius drivers out there. All that initial hybrid R&D cost is getting eatten away. Someday hybrids will begin dropping in price.

I hate it when cars have those tacky dealer plate frames and other dealer decals and badges on the car. Totally ruins it the look, no matter what car it is. I dont know why more people dont get them removed, I mean why advertise for free???

Please reconsider your Prius bashing. Driving slow is "upiddy"? That's conserving fuel -- lowering our dependence and lowering fuel prices.
 
You might break 20mpg in your CX7 of you tried it.
 
The Jetta Diesel is a great car and if you are truly a left-leaner and love wacky long-term articles why not start running that Jetta on Biofuel. I'm sure it's readily available in CA.

I'm surprised at the negative reaction to Doug's comments. I too find the typical Prius owner a bit uppity in attitude even if I agree with the wisdom of making more gas conserving vehicles. And no one can argue that a Prius is nice looking, it's butt ugly! Also, and unfortunately, most of the oil producing countries do wish us harm, even if you exclude our good neighbors to the north.

Well you and your retards may not, but many canadians or least 85% do and she is in fact the Worlds Best Selling Female artist so that already tells you she has hundreds of millions of fans. Her latest albums all went to No.1 and her DVD has been #1 in the US and Canada for more than 10 weeks and her tour and vegas shows were sold out. So please respect people out there and dont go talking shit about singers. Im sure you don't even know what good music is. You listen to some f$cking rap or britney spears. Your political views also don't belong on a site like this. There are many conservatives on here and they should at least get some respect as well. The only reason there are killings in this world is because of people like you that don't know how to RESPECT opinions.

Sorry dude but I'm Canadian too and Celine is someone everyone laughs at now. She has a good voice I guess but after the whole Vegas bit, no one cares anymore.
