2007 Toyota Tundra: Haulin' Tub

The bathroom remodeling continues at the Jacquot house and this weekend that meant moving some heavy wares...

This cast-iron soaker tub weighs about 300 pounds. It took five of us to move it from the Tundra's bed into the garage. Luckily, the Tundra has a bed liner which was far more effective at protecting the bed than the cardboard we used under the tub. We also hauled a 72-inch vanity and a toilet. The Tundra didn't care.

You should leave the tub on the tailgate for 24 hours to test what all the complaints are about.

OK, correct me if I'm wrong but that tub looks like it would fit in my Honda Fit with the seats folded down... and it would be easier to get in too.

Your wrong. Stand corrected.

Since you're in a "correctional" mood, redliner, I think you meant "you're" as in "you are."

Amazes me how many people still do not know the difference between your/you're :-)

But honestly how long is that tub?

Next time go with a fiberglass tub, and save your back. Weighs 75 lbs. and isn't as cold when you step in it. Only a bit more expensive.

It would have been even easier to plug the drain holes in the Tundras bed. Then you can fill it with water and have a HUGE tub. It would have saved everyone's back and money. lol btw 'round here we call that a redneck swimming pool.

LOL - then you could get some flexible pipe, hook it up to the exhaust pipe to get some bubbles in the water and make it a redneck jacuzzi!

I have the tundra 5.7 sr5 for 12 months now and has over 18k miles on it. love the truck drives like my E320.. i only hate the audio controls .. i keep it on the same station and don't even use the 6 cd changer because of the controls.. stupid designer.. I loaded 1.25 tons (over 2500 lb) of concrete in it and still felt like a sedan :))
