2008 Mazda CX-9: Big-ish

I just spent a few days with our Long Term CX-9. One thing that really struck me was its size. It's not too big but no one would call it small either. The CX-9 is one of those few vehicles that seems like the interior and exterior size is like the last bed - just right...

In a perfect world or rather in MY perfect world, the ride would be a little softer - just a tiny bit.

I like the generous center storage box but with a power point and aux jack both located inside the bin, it fills up quickly. Then again, it was nice to run my music player on shuffle without having to see all those unsightly wires. I never mess with the portable player's controls, I just let it run and punch up the aux button when I want to hear my own version of the most awesome mix tape ever.

If the Mini was going to be outdated so quickly, it shouldn't have cost $250. $80 creative labs outdate, I can take that.

Wow.
250 dollars for a Mini.
You can get a Nano for 150, or a Classic for 250.
ahahaha.

Great post on the size. I've been looking at these, but they feel pretty big to me, so it's good to know they can feel very manageable.

Illogical comments on the Mini's price aside (surprise surprise, old technology at its original price doesn't compare favorably to current tech), I'm impressed it still has a working battery. My mini's battery became virtually useless years ago.

I'm not speding another dime on Apple - the CX-9 is a different story.

Ha ha.
Well I figured I would say something.
But back to the CX-9.
I found around here there are a lot of the Grand Touring models, and they look very sharp with the 20-inch wheels and their black paint jobs.

I've got a Mini as well. The battery still works fine, of course I paid nothing as someone who was upgrading gave it to me for free. That's the best kind of technology; free. As for the CX-9, how much bigger is it than the CX-7? That thing looks pretty big already.

Gotta love the Apple hate. Some things are predictable no matter what website you're on.

Back on topic, I sure wish I'd have test driven a CX-9 before buying my (nevermind).
