2007 Jeep Wrangler: A Few Words From the Passenger's Seat

My friend Sara used to own a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, which she had for many years and which she still loves to this day so I thought she might have an appreciation for our 2007 Jeep Wrangler. But when we were driving back from the mall last night and chatting, a propos of nothing Sara would insert a comment about the Jeep into our conversation. She has ridden in our Wrangler many times before so I found it curious that she just made these observations now.

"It sure is a noisy car."

"These headrests are hard."

"It's bouncy."

OK, these might not be ground-breaking observations but I thought it was interesting that a former Jeep owner had them and seemed surprised that a Jeep has these traits...

The ride in the first generation Grand Cherokee's are not that great but probably better than a Wrangler Unlimited. Also the first generation Grand Cherokees are pretty quiet for a Jeep or any other SUV of that time frame. The new headrests in MOPAR products are WAY TO HARD! and because of the new goverment crash regulations they face the wrong way. If they can be removed I have put them in backwards.

That headrest looks like a lego brick.

The Grand Cherokee really had little in common with the Wrangler. It was a Bentley compared to the Wrangler.

I agree with estreka. Just because she had a Jeep means nothing for this comparison unless she had a Jeep Wrangler.
It's like having a friend compare their old BMW 745i to an M Coupe.

Digressing.. it is about to rain hard over the next few days. Why don't you take a photo of the puddle that apparently forms on the driver's seat? And no, you don't have to sit in it and drive to work...

^At least is has water repellant/stain resistant seats! Btw, has anyone at Edmunds 'tested' this feature? They seem pretty nice in my dad's 07 Sebring.

<<It's bouncy.>>

Hmm...if I had a girlfriend, maybe this would be the car for me.

Ok ok. Yes I'm shallow.

Probably why I'm still single.

You're not that shallow if you drive an Altima!
