2007 Mitsubishi Outlander: Fuel Economy

Our 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander was a bit of a homebody this weekend. Still, I did drive the car long enough to realize that the sluggish throttle response that we'd commented on earlier is still an issue. Press the throttle, then wait, wait and wait some more, 'til finally the power abruptly kicks in. We were told that there's a TSB out for this problem.  The Outlander is about due for its 15,000-mile service visit, so we'll mention the throttle issue when we take it in to the dealer...

Took a quick look at the Outlander's mileage figures. With 15,602 miles on the odometer, it's averaged 19.15 mpg since it first rolled into our garage, in a mix of city and highway driving. Thus far, we're pretty much mirroring the EPA's revised-for-2008 mileage figures, which give the Outlander a combined rating of 19.
