I'm amazed at the persistence and ability of bugs to get into places you would never expect to find them. I have several insect carcasses (carci?) in the dome lamp of my pickup, and the lamp cover snaps on tight as a drum.

I should also mention (can't edit?)...the bee is in the light, not the bulb. That would really be amazing!

Eww, thats downright creepy.

Bees and wasps can fit into amazingly small cracks or holes. Still, this one must have been working overtime.

Yikes, nice panel gap.

Too many logbook updates have nothing to do with the car. I would like to hear about the edge, not a navigation system, or a bee, or fords swap your ride marketing program. Lets hear about the edge.

Hmm... could have been in there somewhere when the lamp was produced... I drove a rental '08 Sable about a month ago and one of the taillamps had what looked like a hair inside... a short, dark one... very mysterious indeed. Maybe someone's leaving the door open at the lamp assembly plant!

I'm sure a spider crawled in, killed the bee, then crawled back out.
That's why the bee is dead.
bimmerjay says:

Why wouldn't the spider have eaten the bee?
estreka says:
10:58 PM, 10/23/07
A bird grasped the spider and ate it.
flicmod says:
12:54 PM, 10/24/07
But how did the bird get in AND out of the vehicle?
estreka says:
01:55 PM, 10/24/07
Now you're just being nosey.

Maybe Alison has a cat that ate the bird?
flicmod says:

I'm going to assume a dog was also involved.
estreka says:

So is this a quality issue or a reliability issue? I suppose it depends on whether that bee has been there for the life of the vehicle.

My BMW has the same problem with ladybugs in the rear reading lights
