2007 Chevrolet Silverado: Windshield Replacement

How much does it cost to replace the windshield on a 2007 Silverado? $234.90

Our Chevrolet dealership recommended a mobile glass outfit in our area. Class Auto Glass had the windshield in stock and arrived with a replacement within two hours of our call. Installation time was about an hour...

A bit easier and cheaper than the FJ, no?

Man I gotta say your LT cars take a lot of abuse for just one year of ownership, not to mention build quality issues.

is that a bullet hole?

I think a bullet hole would do a lot mor langjie, like make a spider crack.

I'm guessing what caused the damage was some rock chip or debris from that camping trip right?

It's not from a bullet, it's horrible Slinky stunt gone awry.

Any idea how much the windshield on the Tundra would cost?

Edmunds car drivers:

Stop it! Stop whatever you are doing, and take a deep breath. Relax!!

Now, before the next one of you breaks something on one of your long term cars( and we all know that is just waiting to happen), please say a thankyou to the person or people in your insurance area. I'm sure they are quite busy with all the little and big incidents with all the long term cars.

In all seriousness, I want to thank the editors and drivers at edmunds for all the good work they do. It is a job that I would love in the future, after I retire from my current line of work in 9-16 years.

That's cheaper than a windshield for an S2K ($250).

I had no idea a slinky held so much power. I used to play with one as a kid.

must have been quite a Slinky!!!! Industrial size Sliky like the concrete stuff they load on the bed of the Ford F150's in their commercial.
Don't drive and play it next time...

Replacement Auto Glass

Hey, where are you getting your glass to cost $234.90?! Holy cow! I priced out a 2007 Chevy Silverado C2500 standard cab, and it only came to $156.16, installed including parts, materials, labor AND taxes! This glass fits most of the Silverado series, same price. Call around to several auto glass installers in your area and PRICE CHECK!!! Often they will price match each other, so don't take the first quote you get. Windshield replacement doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. http://www.diamondglass.com
