Here's a simple device that made grocery hauling (not shown) better this weekend. It kept my milk from floating around in the trunk.
Why don't all cars have one of these?

Here are my best guesses as to why they don't have these.
1) That would make too much sense.
2) There is money to be made by the manufacturers and dealerships that sell these as a genuine/original (insert manufacturer name here) accessory.

That is a nice touch. My 02 Camry has bins on the trunk's left side sized perfectly for two gallons of milk or a few two-liters. I'm sure I'll be disappointed if our next vehicle doesn't have some similar accommodation.

They all do - you just have to pay extra "at dealer's cost."

I used to have one of those for my pickup, worked great. :)

The devil is in the details. That's why we own an Azera. Good car!

Not only is the net great to have, but the pic also shows the fold down rear seats. In a sedan as large as the Azera, you can really put a lot of stuff in it, if needed. A friend of mine got hurt on his mountain bike and we were able to get both bikes in the trunk. And, the net kept them from sliding around -- very nice.

That thing is huge, you could fish with it if you broke down in the middle of nowhere, close to a lake. :D
Definitely an OE accessory for most cars. Subaru offers FOUR nets for the LL Bean Forester, front, back, and one on each side.

agreed on all counts... i love how the dealer offers such a net, usually for $40-$60. i use a motorcycle bungie net - the kind you'd use to hold your helmet on the back seat of your bike, and it cost me $6.99 at the local motorcycle shop.

I have added a generic cargo net bag(actually an older Camry bag) which fits very nicely on the two round plastic anchors on the back wall of my Azera.
