Driving around town this weekend, I put three of a friend's discs into the Altima's 6-CD changer. Yes, some people still listen to CDs.
But then we forgot they were in there and my friend called later to remind me to remove them before I returned the car to the office. So I figured I'd do it right away or I would forget.
This is riveting, I know...
As a side note, there was some debate on this blog a while back about how to put the Altima into Accessory mode. As you know, the Altima has a push-button start. To use Accessory mode, you keep your foot off the brake and push the start button twice. But you can't do it too fast or it won't work.
For the curious, the CDs were Neil Young, Willie Nelson and Linda Ronstadt. I was having a 1970s flashback.

Hmm...I've never noticed or needed to take out cd's in the changer. Actually, I'm only up to disc 4, MP3 playback is a great feature

almost every car that I have been into that has been built in the last few years that has had a CD player has been able to do this... even my '01 S-10 was able to do that. It still does even with an aftermarket stereo... This seems like a standard feature across the board.

i know mp3's are pretty much becoming standard, but it's still a great feature

It's true that many, many cars come with this feature now. My 02 WRX had it and I loved the ease with which it worked. I've noticed, however, that some models do not have this feature- particularly ones that considering their price most certainly should have it. Infiniti, Audi, I'm looking at you.
