That's our Nissan Versa SL on the right. It's most assuredly the "Patty" in this duet with its flashy alloy wheels and cool-kid six-speed gearbox. Although a hotdog doesn't make our Versa lose control, an overzealous right-hander into the Wienerschnitzel does tax its soft suspension.
On the left, "Cathy" is a base Versa S hatchback with frumpy wheel covers, unassuming gray upholstery and an automatic transmission...
And the point of all this? By my informal observation, navy blue (Blue Onyx) is the most popular color choice for Versas purchased in the LA basin, so I see plenty of identical cousins in my travels.
