2007 Mitsubishi Outlander: An SUV With Surprises

Last night I blogged about the Outlander's fuel mileage. Today I'm all about the SUV's surprise and delight features. Senior Copy Editor Doug Lloyd has already gone ga ga over the Mitsu nifty tailgate, so I won't go there again, but the Outlander has plenty of other examples of Mitsubishi's designers going the extra mile.

The first is the Outlander's two tiered glove compartment (pictured above). With more square footage than an L.A...

starter home, its exactly what every pack rat needs. Go ahead, buy that Costco-sized jug of hand sanitizer.

On the other side of the Outlander's dashboard is a hidden cupholder. I asked around. After 7,500 miles of driving few on staff had noticed it. It's perfectly sized for soda cans and well placed for eyes on the road thirst quenching.

The Toyota Yaris has that exact type of glovebox.

"More than meets the eye" comes to mind here....=) Though, I think I'd still prefer my very own Transformer over the Outlander...

"Easter Eggs", as little surprises such as the hidden cupholder are known as, are always entertaining to find and injects a feeling of getting more than what you paid for...
