Here's my treasure. This weekend I showed it the light of day, having been liberated from a too-costly storage unit we've been using. After our recent move from house with ample storage to one with less storage, we've been forced to slowly and effectively decide what gets pitched and what needs to stay. The Silverado continues to be the vehicle of choice for the weekly slog between the new homestead and storage unit.
I'll vouch for the truck's ability to haul a load (that's what it was designed for), but I'll also echo my colleagues' observations that its transmission "flares" between 1st and 2nd gear after a cold start and that it also has a rough idle in Drive at stops, especially when the AC is running. The seats continue to be the world's best lint collectors, the (un-lined) bed is getting pretty abused-looking, but now the left-rear door has developed a creaky spring.
For a pickup truck that'll never see one bale of hay or a crate motor in its bed, we're giving the Silverado a pretty thorough suburban work out and it's packing on the miles like a Camry.

It's good to see the truck being used as a "truck"! Even though beds are supposed to be scratched, any chance you'll pop for a spray in liner for it?

i've read from the articles showing that at present, its one of the top selling and is currently offering more than 20 models in the market...i just figure how they were able to talked about it..what you have done with your chevy is a proof of its efficiency and superb quality performances...components like chevy catalytic converter, bumper, hoods, etc... has been very great.
