Somehow the keys to the 308 ended up in my pocket at the end of the day on Friday. I could only think of one thing: Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
It wasn't only the parking lot attendants airborne in the 250GT that came to mind, but the 80s in general. Boom boxes and breakdancers...
There was something missing in this Ferrari and I knew just what it was. I dug through dusty boxes for (embarrassingly) only about 5 minutes before I found it.
One of the greatest hair albums ever put to cassette, Van Halen - 1984. Our 308 has a new accessory.

Enuff already! We need a sound bite! Rev that baby and record it!
Then play it back to a Camry that you coulda got for the same dough..
Outstanding choice o' music, though I think that you should also dig up a tape from the Miami Vice era, maybe a little Jan Hammer? Phil Collins would work too...

OK, there's been 4 blog entries so far for this car and so far the only driving impression we've gotten is exactly one sentence ("Steering is very tight and you have to leave yourself more than the usual amount of braking room.")
Guys, the references to the 80's experience are rather cute but ultimately I think we would like to know about the drive at some point in time (and judging by the responses so far, a comparo against a Camry).

What does that switch with the red light under the radio do? Flux capacitor, perhaps?
A video of the 308 doing a mad burnout would be sweet. Then do a mad burnout in the Camry for comparison.

I think I would have had to stop at a local electronics store and pick up an iPod cassette adapter.
