Cadillac SRX: Moving Forward and Backpedaling

Another weekend in the SRX, and another weekend of enjoying the car's driving dynamics and high-quality interior while being frustrated by its uneven pedal placement. Every time I got in the Caddy I found myself thinking I was too far forward or too far back -- depending on which pedal my foot touched first. Usually it was the brake, so I thought I was too close to the dash. But then I'd move my foot to the gas pedal and remember that the seat is positioned in a compromise position to have safe (if slightly cramped) brake pedal access while having functional (if slightly stretched) gas pedal access...

I'm pretty sure the disparity in pedal position is even greater in our long-term Silverado, but I still notice it in this GM vehicle.

Hey, at least I'm left to griping about the car's pedal position versus a preponderance of cheap interior plastics. A welcome improvement GM -- now fix the pedal issue!

Amen! I wonder if the local dealership can do anything about the pedals? I've heard of having them adjusted before, but I don't know if that was as a whole assembly, or even if it was for fixed pedals (not the power adjustable variety).
