Did a little math this morning. So far our Audi Q7 has covered 5,498 miles at an average fuel consumption rate of 14.5 mpg. Our Q7 packs the 4.2-liter V8 so its EPA rated at 14 mpg city and 19 mpg highway, but most of our travels with the Audi has been in and around Los Angeles where its fuel use has ranged between 11.5 mpg and 14.3 mpg. Tanks of the required premium grade fuel burned during mixed driving are in the 14.6 to 15.7 range, while our best tank (18.6 mpg) was not surprisingly recorded during a 400 mile interstate run during the SUV's one road real trip...
