It's been a while since I've driven our Toyota FJ Cruiser. It used to be a real head-turner when it was first introduced, especially with its white and Voodoo blue paint. I remember little boys approaching me at red lights and asking about it.
Well, some 23,000 miles later, I see a number of FJs on the road and ours no longer causes quite the hullabaloo...
Here's a shot of an FJ Cruiser in Black Diamond paint. It looks a little more menacing in all-black. I also saw a black FJ with a white roof. But I was moving and couldn't snap a picture. With the white roof it looked like a jumbo Mini. Cute and sporty.
They're popping up all over the place. No wonder with a base invoice price at just under $22,000 for the 4x4 automatic. Of course, the Cruiser's optional equipment isn't cheap. Our particular configuration stickered at $32,102.

I've been seeing more around too. Just like the Wrangler, their headlights are pain when they're behind you.

The one you snapped here, Donna, is a TRD Special Edition. If you look closely, you can see the same yowling exhaust system you all's truck has, plus the 16" accessory TRD wheels. Of course, the most notable feature is the black roof. This is the only version of the FJ with a body-color roof.
PS- My friends & I call the standard black FJs (black w/white roof) Pandas.

I hate being special.
I hate being the only one.
Why?
Because being special means my windshield costs $1,500 to replace.
Being like everyone else means my windshield only costs $300 to replace.
Plus all the reliability bugs get worked out much faster with a larger population.

Toyota FJ Cruiser has always been rising ever since...its one of the top outstanding cars in the world...its performance are great and with high quality parts just like its toyota radiator, hoods, toyota celica cold air intake, bumpers, wheels.... i loved that black car with white roof..
