2007 FJ Cruiser: Curbside Recycling

The last time I took the FJ Cruiser out, it sailed along highways and through Death Valley. Until this weekend, I had never had any urban-only seat time in it. Saturday included general errand running, and a Dodgers game in the evening (where the "Cookie Monster"  blue was much appreciated by passing fans). On Sunday, I was dodging drizzle and LAX Arrival Terminal traffic.

Later in the evening, we ran across a table on the sidewalk...
The "FREE" sign was blurred due to the rain, but after a quick inspection, it was quickly lifted into the cargo area. The four and a half foot long table fit lengthwise, but two of the legs had to be removed (with the help of my trusty Leatherman tool) to let the cargo door shut. On the way home, I realized how easy the process was. In just a couple of minutes the rear seats were folded flat, and our new backyard table was tossed in the back.

Overall, I found that the FJ was easy to park, had a surprising turning radius, and was fun to drive though town. My one gripe would be the TRD exhaust. As stated in previous posts, the note got really annoying while stuck in the the stop-and-go.
