Toyota has been a pioneer in electronics by offering Bluetooth in the Prius at a time when few other cars offered the option. So we were a little surprised to find that the Toyota RAV4 did not offer Bluetooth. However, many editors have found the freedom of hands free phone calls to be invaluable so we decided to add a basic Parrot unit to our RAV4.
We installed a color screen Parrot in our Long Term FJ Cruiser (http://66.160.188.111/roadtests/156) but decided to go with a more basic black and white LCD screen CK3100 (http://www.parrot.biz/usa/products/ck3100-lcd) for the RAV4...
We also like the way the Parrot unit fits into the dash area - it's very clean and doesn't stand out.

Ok, just a little confused... so you took apart the stereo head unit before or after the other editor observed issues with the RAV's tuning knob? If before, then... hmmn.. maybe the installation had something to do with it? ~alpha

The Bluetooth was installed long before any problems w/ the stereo were reported. The head unit was freaking out last week but now it's fine.
You're right, the two things could be related.
