Honda Civic Si: Makes even more sense in Europe

After driving around Europe all last week, I can see why they love cars like the Civic Si. It fits through narrow streets, handles twisty roads with ease and gets decent mileage along the way. It does all the same things back in L.A. but here it's a matter of convenience rather than necessity...
Maybe the next time gas prices spike American drivers will once again think of good fuel mileage as a necessity, but until that happens there just aren't as many reasons to drive a small car.

Depends on where you're driving in europe. I wouldn't touch an Si for a roadtrip from say Germany to France. The car's fun but it's certainly not made for long distance travel at 100+ MPH speeds.

hey blueguy I have to say I think you might be a bit wrong. Given the si isn't exactly a top end road rocket capable of rounding 200 for a few hours, BUT for the price its lays down pretty good. You'll have to stretch into 30k territory for even a basic bmw for example. Sure its cheaper there, but this NA car probably has more oomph up there than a lot of its 20k rivals.
