Mazda MX-5 Miata: Fun at Your Fingertips

Everytime I hop into the MX-5, I'm reminded of how much better she is than the Pontiac Solstice. Sure, she's not a knockout like the Solstice and she doesn't turn heads like the Pontiac roadster. But she'll hold your iced lattes with her handy-dandy in-door cupholders or, hey there are cupholders in the center console, too. She won't make you get out of the car to put the top down or up, for that matter...

You don't have to contort yourself to reach back for your seatbelt as, whattaya know, there's a seatbelt guide attached to the seat for easy retrieval. And unlike the Solstice, the window switches sit in the center console under your hand rather than at your elbow on the door. Have to go away for the weekend? The Miata's trunk actually has enough room for a couple of duffle bags AND you can still drive with the top down.

The MX-5 isn't all that sexy but she's a car you'd want every day as opposed to the Solstice, which seems better suited for weekend boulevard cruising.
