Los Angeles is suffering through a heat wave. Not only is it hot here, it is also humid, which is rare in our desert climate. When driving around the city, or more likely sitting is traffic, you need to have a good air conditioner.
While the A/C in the Sonata works quickly and quietly, the vents are in the wrong position...
The cool air pumping into the cabin keeps hitting my right hand on the steering wheel. My hand actually gets numb with cold. If the vents were in a higher position, the air would bypass my hand and go directly to my face.
Unfortunately, the 2007 Sonata has the same design.

The vents may not be a 2007 change, but if this image is accurate Hyundai has heard enough similar complaints to make an 08 update:

While I have not seen this image before, it is consistent with rumblings I heard when I was "inside". Where did hyundaiexchange get it? Was it an official release?
This might be a photo of an interior mock-up. The final version may or may not end up looking like this.

I don't know where they found the picture. I only saw it posted on another forum, and it certainly looked real.

if it is real, Hyundia definitely is getting it. Not only does it address the complaint, it also just looks a 1000x better than the current layout.

Note the location of the mark on both vent director adjustments - pointing toward the driver. Simply move it to the right, and the A/C no longer blows air directly on your right hand, but still effectively cools the car.
