Road to Vancouver: Fighting Over Who Drives the 330i

It's only Day Two of our road trip to Vancouver and Senior Content Editor Erin Riches and I already had our first fight. OK, it wasn't really a fight but more like a kerfuffle over who got to drive the BMW 330i next. I took the wheel from Mt. Shasta to our next stop in McKenzie Bridge, Oregon (about 300 miles)...

The twisty open mountain roads through the Cascades was too much fun and even though I was in the driver seat for several hours, I declined Erin's gracious offer to take the wheel. More out of impatience to get to the destination than greed for piloting a quick and luxurious car like the 330i. OK, maybe it was a bit of both.

But I loved how it handled the twists and turns of the mountain roads. The engine so quiet but powerful, the ride so smooth -- it was too comfortable to let go. It was either that or take a nap in the passenger seat and miss the beauty of the Pacific Northwest zooming by. Um, yeah, I'll go with Option A.
