I see it in the comments all the time...people accusing you guys of shady maintenance practices. For some reason it seems a lot of people do not trust oil life monitors or the intervals set by manufacturers. The interval for my '05 C230 that you guys featured a few weeks ago is 13,000 miles. There is no oil quality monitor, just a mileage counter.
Attached is my latest oil analysis from Black Stone Labs, taken at 120,251 miles after the oil had 12,600 miles of usage. As you can see from the report, I'm having every other change analyzed and it is always fine. I thought you might like to post this on the blog to demonstrate that the manufacturers that engineer the cars are better informed than people think. -- Matt
