Christopher's 2008 Jeep Wrangler

christopher-jeep-1.jpg

This is my 2008 Jeep JK (Wrangler to the common folk). Over the years, between my wife and I, we've had three Jeeps. To call me a Jeep fanatic would be an understatement. I love this vehicle. It rides like crap, gets crappy gas mileage, slow as crap, and loud as crap. But I love every minute of driving it.

I recently moved from Buffalo, NY, to Northern Virginia (about an hour and half outside of DC), where I hooked up with a local Jeep club. This gave me the opportunity to "explore" some of the countryside, and it really gave me a chance to see what my JK could do. I've been living here for about a year now, and I've made multiple trail rides through George Washington National Forest.

Did I mention how much I love my JK? I do! Driving it makes me feel like...you know something not a lot of other people do. It really is a Jeep thing. You wouldn't understand. -- Christopher

Ha! I thought you were going to finish this line:
Driving it makes me feel like...

with
...crap

Looks like you made a smart move to join a Jeep club. A great way to enjoy the capability of your Jeep. I don't see a winch on the Jeep--do you use a removable one?

Not to be a troll but.... It's a Wrangler to you also. That's what Jeep calls it, they list JK nowhere on it.

It's great that you're using it off road though, as it's intended. Also, that you acknowledge that it has weak spots, everybody on here seems to think that their 1993 Isuzu is the best thing ever, when it's really just not...

Not to be a troll either but...Wranglers are all over the roads. It's not an exclusive vehicle. I have two friends who currently have one and another who used to have one. My neighbor the real estate lady has one too actually.

At least you take yours off road. Kudos for that.

Back when I had my 94 YJ, I was apart of the http://www.novajeepers.net/ , Great group of guys always willing to help out. The Wrangler needed a lot of repairs and after someone hitting it with their car I decided to move on to something safer for a little bit. Gas at the time was also north of $4 a gallon (V6) was being Gluttonous.
